Congratulations West Ranch Jazz

On Saturday all three WR Jazz Ensembles went to the Westlake High School Jazz Festival and received awards.  The Wildcat Combo earned 3rd place, WR Lab Band got 3rd as well, and the Studio A Jazz Band received 1st place in the highest division.  It is only the 2nd time a WR Jazz Band has received 1st place. Outstanding Musician awards were given to Tomo Downs, Amy Kotzman, Eric Choi, Kyle Jimenez, Austin Baird, Lucas Arias, Adam Hersh, Brandon Canada and Diego Kiner.

Band and Orchestra Concert----Tuesday, May 15th, 7pm

The final band and orchestra concert of the year will take place this Tuesday, at 7pm in the WR Theater. The concert will feature performances by the orchestra, concert band, wind ensemble, and our special combined symphonic orchestra! Admission for the concert is $5 and the evening should concluded around 8:15pm.

... to the home of the West Ranch High School Band and Colorguard. Over years we have established a foundation of hard work, pride and excellence that will keep our program and our students successful long into the future.

The West Ranch Music Program has won numerous competitions and accolades. The Marching Band holds competitive titles from SCSBOA and MBOS. The Jazz Band has played at high-profile festivals and events including the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival. The West Ranch Orchestra has won Unanimous Superiors from SCSBOA.

Under the direction of Jason Marshall and Brian Leff, West Ranch's music program continues to thrive and excel in artistry and vision. In a city well-known for it's contributions to the arts and entertainment industries, West Ranch students have continued to pursue music at higher-education levels, and have learned the value of commitment and team-spirit that applies to fulfilling a lifetime appreciation for music.

The Booster Club welcomes the public to all exciting performances given by West Ranch High School bands, as our student musicians continue to enrich the arts in Santa Clarita.
