Marching Band Practice-----Saturday 8am-1pm (CHANGED DUE TO HOT WEATHER)
The time for marching band practice this Saturday has been changed due to forecasted extreme heat. Rather than 9am-4pm, we will now be practicing from 8am-1pm. There will be an extended nutrition break provided in the middle of the rehearsal, but not a long lunch break. Students need to bring a healthy snack for during this time. Please remember to wear ample sunscreen, a hat, and to bring a large amount of water. Given that we also have a football game Friday night it would be best to start hydrating NOW!

Booster Meeting/Wildcat Classic Update----Wednesday, September 10th, 7:30pm
Please join us for our first Booster Meeting of the 2014 school year. Our meeting will be held this Wednesday at 7:30pm in the band room and the Wildcat Classic will be the main agenda item. We hope you will all be able to join us for this important event!!!
First Football Game----Friday, September 12th, 5pm @ Valencia HS
This Friday will be the first home football game for the Wildcat Marching Band!!!!! Call time for all students is 5pm at Valencia HS (students meet on the basketball courts behind the football stadium). This is an early call time for our first game. Our normal call time for future games will be 5:30pm.
Parents, please make sure that your child eats dinner before arriving at 5pm. Snacks will be provided during the 3rd quarter, but this is not adequate enough to replace a meal. Also, students will need to arrive with their marching band shoes, black crew socks (please not "footie" socks), instrument, and marching flip folders. SwanLake T-shirts will be waiting for the students in their uniform bags when they arrive.
For those parents new to these events, we normally finish the football games around 9:30/9:45pm with students ready for pick-up around 10pm in the main parking lot. We highly encourage our band parents to come to the games and help support the band. Kick-off is at 7pm with the half-time performance normally taking place close to 8pm.

Bingo Night----Saturday, Sep. 13, 5:00PM, West Ranch Theater
Bingo will still be starting at 5pm on Saturday night. For those who have not purchased tickets, you can purchase bingo tickets only (no dinner) for $15 at the door. The bingo portion of the evening will begin in the Theater at 6pm. We will have many wonderful prizes available to win including Dodger tickets!
We are really looking forward to a night of great fun for the entire family!
